What preparation is necessary before flight?

A few days before the scheduled date of flight, the weather forecast is read in order to have a reliable knowledge of the weather conditions. If there is bad weather, the flight will be rescheduled. At the launch site, before the balloon is set, the weather will be visually assessed and a small helium balloon will be launched to see what the wind directions are so the pilot can determine the best orientation for the balloon to be inflated and plan a possible route. During the set up and inflation process, the pilot will constantly check that everything is working properly. Before the take-off, the passengers are given a short briefing explaining all the necessary precautions. All these preparations and precautions before flight make this activity incredibly safe.
